According to
Business Week magazine, Chinese company has been quietly tapping
the international capital markets. Enterprises that don't have
the heft or profits for a splashy
initial public offering are finding they can get a coveted
overseas listing through a reverse merger. For more and more
Chinese companies, a reverse merger is faster and less onerous
than an IPO; some 150 Chinese companies have taken the
reverse-merger route since 2005. In 2007 alone, about 70 Chinese
firm went public through reverse mergers. As Chinese economy
continues to grow rapidly in next ten years, many companies are
very profitable, they make very attractive candidates to go
public in the U.S.
